The Dog Days of Summer

Cousin Dereck
Cousin Holly

Grandma at The Laurelwood.

Auntie Megan's mom, Judy.

We couldn't do Ed's Trail earlier in the summer due to too much snow....

....so we decided to to Ed's Trail in July instead.  Following the ridge line for three miles, all the way up to Silver Star Mt.

The trail went right under this natural arch.

Lunch stop.

Hey Mommy, we made it!

Fun on the way down. (Mt St. Helens in the background)

Kathleen, Cousin Leah (above) and Cousin Naomi (below) came to hang out for an afternoon  with Tucker.

Fun with Kathleen!

CENTRAL OREGON VACATION 2012

We got a little cabin at Camp Sherman for five days.  Then went to the Seventh Mt Resort for five days.
Good times in the cabin.

Can you see what's different in these two pictures?

Funny hats were found in the cabin.

On day two we tackled the Canyon Creek Meadows trail up to the base of Three Fingered Jack.

This was the final destination.

The crystal clear Metolius River.
Wizard Falls fish hatchery.

Chillin' at the fish hatchery.
Springs gushing out of the hillside.

The cabin sat on the edge of a cool meadow leading down to the Metolius.

On day four we went for a 17 mile hike in the Mt Jefferson wilderness around the Carl Lake area.

Lot's of snow on the Pacific Crest Trail.

Tucker needs to stay hydrated.

Havin' fun at the Seventh Mt Resort.

On day six we had time for a quick hike up Tumalo Mt.
Three Sisters and Broken Top in the background.

And then it's off to the pool for a unsure introduction to resort livin'.

Day seven we went for a hike up Fall Creek to Green Lakes in the Three Sister's wilderness.

South Sister

In front of Broken Top.

More fun in our little condo.

On the last full day we hiked the Tam McCarther Rim to the base of Broken Top in the Three Sisters wilderness.
Here is the Middle and North Sister.

The Three Sisters

Base of Broken Top.  Tucker's new altitude record of 8,200'.

Washin' away the dust and soothing the aches in Little Three Creeks Lake.

Tucker at seven months.

I want to crawl sooooooo bad!
